experience, we then continue onto Olduvai Gorge to
reveal the ‘Cradle of Mankind, at this historical
archaeological site. We game drive from Olduvai to
our luxury camp, arriving early evening.

Day Five
We spend the day exploring the endless plains of the
Serengeti with a picnic lunch - depending
on the season, we can witness the Great Wildebeest
Migration and the thrill of predator activity. The
Serengeti demonstrates a true menagerie of wild
Africa.

Day Six
Following an early breakfast, we transfer out of the
Serengeti to re-enter the Ngorongoro Conservation
Area. We descend into the Crater floor to explore
this World Heritage listed and awesome display of
flora and fauna. This is a thrilling day, with
superb scenery and countless species to sight. We
continue onto our lodge in the highlands to arrive
early evening.

Day Seven
Today we take things down a notch and simply enjoy
our location by partaking in a Wilderness Walk
around the immediate area. The grassy hills of the
highlands reveal the fertile valleys below with
borders of forest areas; nature at its best. We
return to Arusha after enjoying lunch at E Unoto
Maasai Retreat along the way.

The following few days allow you to really interact
with the Tanzania culture, at your own pace, and
enjoy several holistic therapies to enhance
rejuvenation. These activities are optional and at
your discretion. Karama Lodge offers the perfect
surroundings for this section of your itinerary with
its tranquil location and professional staff. The
very meaning of its name is a privilege and
‘something to share’.
Day Eight
After breakfast, we take a trip into Arusha town to
enjoy the colourful craft markets and town centre
walking tour. It is a great way to see what goes on
in daily life here and to indulge in some of East
Africa’s famous arts and crafts. We return to the
lodge for lunch followed by an afternoon of self
indulgence. We enjoy the serenity of a yoga class to
re-connect mind, body and spirit before being
treated to a full body ‘essential oils’ massage.

Day Nine
This morning we set off out into the community to
visit our very own Nursery & Primary School in the
heart of the Maasai Lands. Maasai Wanderings proudly
maintains and continually supports all aspects of
the school and we ask your help to assist with games
and porridge service. After our picnic lunch in the
village, we return to the lodge for refreshing
showers before being pampered with a Reiki or
Reflexology session.

Day Ten
Another outing this morning to enjoy a Swahili
Cooking Lesson OR a Tinga Tinga Painting Class; both
activities demonstrating the true essence of the
Tanzanian, creative culture. It is hands on with
wooden spoons or paint brushes and by early
afternoon, we can return to Karama for another
therapy session of a yoga class followed by a
reflexology treat.

Day Eleven
We re-visit the wilderness this morning as we head
to the outskirts of Arusha to Tengeru and Lake
Duluti. Here we enjoy a Wilderness Walk around the
Lake Duluti, fed by undergrounds springs from Mt
Meru, and witness unrivalled birdlife and peace.
After our picnic lunch on the lake shores, we return
to the lodge for a full body scrub; a final physical
cleanse.

Day Twelve
We de-brief this morning about your Tanzanian
Adventure & Rejuvenation before transferring you to
your Arusha departure point.
