climbing, with difficulty, at around 1am on a path that is flanked by glaciers
and we arrive at Stellar Point around sunrise. The one hour round trip, along
the icy crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5896m) is our next challenge and after

After gazing around us for a limited time, we descend back to Barafu where we
enjoy a well earned rest and refreshments before continuing on to Mweka Camp.
