We enjoy another day of exciting game tracking from
early morning before returning to the camp for a
delicious meal. In the afternoon we partake in a
ranger-led wilderness walk.
NGORONGORO CAMP (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
DAY 6 NGORONGORO
After an early breakfast, we enter the Caldera of
Ngorongoro for some of the most beautiful scenery
and wildlife display s in the world. We savour a
picnic lunch and then ascend the crater rim for the
drive to Nainokanoka.

DAY 7 EMBULBUL DEPRESSION
An early start, with our trusted donkeys to carry
the load, in the direction of Empakai Crater –
walking along the cattle trails through remote
Maasai villages and areas like Embulbul Depression
before ascending the Crater wall and setting up camp

DAY 8 EMPAKAI
Setting off with our donkeys once again, we skirt
the rim of the Crater and then via off to the east
in the direction of Naiyobi village and enjoy
exploring this remote Maasai village

DAY 9 LAKE NATRON
Today’s hiking is spectacular as we walk parallel to
the Great Rift Valley, through grassy highlands and
light wooded forest areas before descending a steep
hairpin turn hill called ‘Gazelle Horn’ and into the
plains around Lake Natron

DAY 10 ARUSHA
After a leisurely breakfast at our campsite and
local exploration, we make our way back to Arusha
via the colourful villages of Ngare Sero and Mto wa
Mbu.

DAY 11 ILKUROT
Today is hands on with porridge service and
assisting the children at Ilkurot Nursery & Primary
School. We arrive mid-morning and get our hands
dirty with general chores before spending the
afternoon singing and dancing with the warriors in
our Maasai robes.

DAY 12 ARUSHA
Traditional cooking is on the menu today as we
receive instruction from local women on Swahili
recipes, stories and history. We can enjoy rolling
chapattis and brewing up a brew of fresh broth. We
follow this up with Tinga Tinga painting lessons in
the afternoon – the traditional art style of
Tanzania.

DAY 13 ARUSHA
Sadly today our family must say their good-bye’s
during our adventure de-briefing. You are
transferred to your Arusha departure point where we
wave you off until next time!
