Student & Group Style

With the world of travel and adventure catering so well for discount student flights these days, exciting destinations are truly opening up for students.

In Tanzania the exotic isles of Zanzibar, the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro or the treeless plains of the Serengeti are the ideal base for itineraries for international students & groups.

We offer school, college and university student groups a unique opportunity for two cultures to interact and for the group to do some hands on work. Our itineraries provide the right mixture of adventure and education and make a logical choice for team building, cultural exchanges and community project work.

We put together interesting and challenging itineraries to satisfy the mental and physical needs of globe trotting students within streamlined budgets.

Cultural Tourism is strong in the student sector and lengthy stays in tribal situations can also be arranged.

Our experience working with the logistics of group travel allow us to assist you to make all transitions smoothly. Safety is paramount in all activities and thus risk assessment and contingency planning are an integral part of our organization.

Hopefully we will also be blessed with a view of Africa’s highest mountain - and the ‘Snows of Kilimanjaro’.
OUTPOST LODGE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 4     ARUSHA - TARANGIRE
After an early morning breakfast, the game viewing section of itinerary begins with a transfer to Tarangire for flora and fauna field experiences and an afternoon of Wilderness Walking with a local guide. We arrive late afternoon to our tented camp.
MARAMBOI TENTED CAMP (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 5     TARANGIRE - SERENGETI
We drive off across the natural migration path of the inhabitants of Tarangire towards the Crater Highlands after breakfast, and climb the escarpment to be met with a sweeping view across the Great Rift Valley. We continue on to Olduvai Gorge for an archaeological tale of the Cradle of Mankind and a lunch box before game driving to our campsite in the Central Serengeti. We have a BBQ of goat for those who dare and an evening of stories around the campfire.
PIMBI CAMP (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 6     SERENGETI
After waking up at sunset and enjoying a quick breakfast, we begin game driving from the camp exit in search of early morning predator activity around the kopjes. The dew on the long grasses attracts a vast array of mammals and birdlife and the coolness of the early morning keeps them content for us to stare in awe of the intrinsic behaviours. We return to the camp for lunch and a midday rest before setting off again in the afternoon to the hippo pool or acacia woodland or nearby water sources.
PIMBI CAMP (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 7     SERENGETI - NGORONGORO

DAY 8     NGORONGORO - LAKE EYASI
We enter the crater early morning to take full advantage of the approximate 120 species of mammals over 200 species of birdlife and variations of natural habitats. We venture around the entire floor before arriving to our lunch spot lakeside. We depart early afternoon for the scenic transfer to Lake Eyasi – home of the Hadzabe tribe.
CHEM CHEM SPRING CAMP (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 9     LAKE EYASI
Before sunrise we wake to go hunting with the Hadzabe ‘Bushmen’ – a strenuous task as we walk miles in search of small mammals with our bow and poison arrows. We return mid-morning with our ‘hunter-gatherer’ wares and enjoy a well-deserved brunch at the camp. A rest follows and then we are able to sit with the village elders and discuss the current issues of the area and exchange cultural tales.
